I am putting a FORUM page in my site. My intention here is to make it a venue to post your Coron trips and try to gather other people to share cost with you. My only request here is just get the Boat Rent or Tour Only or Package Tour with me. I really leave it up to you. If you don’t wish to get the 3 arrangements above with me, it is no problem. I usually don’t allow email and cp number posting in my site, but in the FORUM page, I will allow it. My Forum Page is cranky, I think. But if it really picks up, I may get a separate proper discussion board for this. Until Then.

I am now using a new WordPress Theme called Depo Masthead. I am utilizing this theme because I plan to get feeds from different sites. As you will notice, I am using lots of RSS links here. These RSS and other widgets will be placed in the bottom of the page. With this compartmentalized site system, I hope to simplify my ever growing site.
FYI. Until Then.

I am now introducing once again the Gutob Bay Itineraries. Note that all are in “Break-in” price, because the first trip there would validate all the cost involved there. Anyway, there is refund if assumption made is more than the actual cost.
Here’s the first itenerary:

I have this new site http://diycoronnews.wordpress.com/ that will hopefully guide you to make an itinerary for your Coron trip. It is a Do It Yourself itinerary planner for Coron.
Remember, I offer 3 types of tour arrangement:
1. Boat Rent Only
2. Tour Only
3. Package Tour (Lodging+Etc+Tour)In making a Coron Trip, the first thing you need to establish is how many days are you touring. Thus we have Tour Duration like 5D4N, 4D3N, 3D2N, etc. My tip on your last day, NEVER make a faraway tour like boat tours – an Inland Town Tour would just be enough for the last day.
The next thing you need to know is that: Will you be doing an island overnight or not? If NO, then select among my Half Day Tours and 1 Day Tours found on this site http://diycoronnews.wordpress.com/ . If you answer YES, then select among the 2 Days Tour I have on that site.
Example:
I have my air ticket now and it says it will a 3D2N trip for me. >>> (1) It’s 3D2N Trip
I want to experience island overnight. >>> (2) It Island Overnight then. Now, choose your lodging preference. I have provided on this site the Lodging Places in Coron (please explore this site).
Example:
I want a deluxe room with ac and with wifi. >>> (3) Then Princess Of Coron will fit this preference.(1) 3D2N
(2) Island Overnight
(3) Princess Of CoronUpon exploring the other site http://diycoronnews.wordpress.com/ you will be able to see that this Package Code fits PKG-POC-3D2N-2 (just an example). Okay, I will choose a Package Tour.
PKG-POC-3D2N-2 for 2Pax
Lodging+Etc Cost = 1050/person
Half Day Tour =
1 Day Tour =
Package Cost = ?Since I want an overnight, I will choose the Coron Banana 10am Loop 2 Days Tour. Any Boat Itinerary with a 10am attached to it is actually a Half Day Tour or a 1 1/2 Day Tour.
Upon looking back at http://diycoronnews.wordpress.com/ …
PKG-POC-3D2N-2 for 2Pax
Lodging+Etc Cost = 1050/person
Coron Banana 10am Loop 2 Days = 5450/person
Package Cost = 6500/personI think this is above my budget. Therefore I want Owen to post this on his site to invite other possible Joiners. I do hope there will be Joiners. In case there will be no joiners, I must prepare a plan B. Plan B may be just a daytrip instead.
The Package now becomes PKG-JG-POC-3D2N-2.
If you want it exclusive to your group, the code is PKG-EG-POC-3D2N-2.
If there will be 2 additional Joiner in the tour…
PKG-POC-3D2N-2 for 2Pax
Lodging+Etc Cost = 1050/person
4pax Coron Banana 10am Loop 2 Days = 3800/person
Package Cost = 4850/person———-
Well, I hope by these examples you could make your own Coron Trip.I hope when someone fills up the Join Form, he/she would know what specific itinerary he/she would request.
And I do hope that this site would be a stand-alone Do It Yourself Coron Tour Planner.
Until then.

I have made a new page or site just for the tour itineraries and tour cost. This will guide you on your decision on what itinerary to take. This would also make tour arrangement easy – if you know what itinerary to take and what’s the cost is, all i have to do now is boat reservation.
You will notice the Categories and Tags. In Categories, you will see the questions I asked in my Join Form regarding tour preference. In Tags, you will see the Tours according to length of day.
I also have discounted the Tour Cost from 9pax-up. This is to encourage Joining Groups, which will really be beneficial to the budget conscious tourist.
Here is the link:
http://diycoronnews.wordpress.com/I will soon make feed and interlinks on this site.
Please try.

TO ALL INQURIES & JOINERS,
Your first thing you have to do is to FILL UP the JOIN FORM
http://www.emailmeform.com/fid.php?formid=385125It is also located at the right sidebar of this Page.
In this way, I can assess your tour requirement better.
Having a plane or ship ticket is also another requirement. For those, who does have a plane/ship ticket yet, just browse over my site and you will find relevant information. You just have to read and search.
As always, I am fully loaded that I can only reply to near dates (like September tour dates as of writing) as priority. After finishing replying the near dates, only then I can tackle the other dates.
Until Then.

First, let me say my personal announcement: I am so busy nowadays. It just so happens that I am implementing a new project with my day job. You will notice this new project after 1 month from now in the food retail market (it’s a mega brand).
Therefore, please bear with me. I am reading all your messages here and in my email. Just always make a follow up so that your files won’t get under the piles. I prioritize my reply based on your tour date.
Secondly, I want to announce that I will collect deposit for Boat Reservation.
I do collect deposit for same-day-arrival-and-tour scenario. But for a normal tour, I really don’t collect deposit. But then again, some joiners make some precedence.
There are few joiners that are “unethical”. I would like to name him, but I will let him pass this time. This committed joiner just shifted to other tour group upon their arrival in Coron. It is no problem to cancel a trip with me. Since you are committed in our agreement, just inform us with your reason as soon as possible. Emergency cases are always forgivable of course.
Please understand that the boat is reserved to your group once you confirm a tour with me. That means that the boat will not be rented to others on your intended date. Income opportunity for the locals are lost here if you decide to cancel boat tour at the last minute. And I think this is applicable not only to me, but to all tour group entity.
With that I will have to ask for a deposit for boat reservation. Just like in lodging reservation which always ask for a deposit, so does with my boat reservation.
For your information and guidance.

This post supersedes my previous post about Twin lagoon.
Twin Lagoon now have a separate entrance fee. It is separate now from Kayangan Lake. Before, when you go to Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon, you only pay P200/head. Now, if you go to Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon, you pay P300/head. Kayangan entrance fee is P200/head. And Twin Lagoon entrance fee is P100/head.
Now all my tour cost would be affected. For your guidance.

Ever since I started visiting Coron, there is one issue that never dies. It is about the issue of snorkel gadgets rental in Coron. There would always be some form of misunderstanding regarding the rental deals about this gadget.
I would still remember during my first visit in Coron that I had a heated argument with a boatman just because of this snorkel rental issue.
And now I always advise people to bring their own snorkel sets, or you must rent it personally from the store or owner.
Here are the things you should know: CLICK HERE!

In the right sidebar of this site, I have put up the Wave Alert Link. This page would be more about of the Wave Forecast (not rain forecast). I am more concerned of the Wave rather than the rain, because I am planning boat trips or expeditions here.
Let me explain some points here:
Date/Time expressed in the Forecast is using UTC 00 or GMT 00. Manila is using the GMT +8. Therefore, add 8 hrs to get the Manila Time.
To simplify updates, I will be calling each wave colors as Level 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.
Level 0 = the white color, acceptable for boat travel
Level 1 = the light blue color, acceptable for boat travel
Level 2 = the blue color, still acceptable for boat travel but with precautions.
Level 3 = the dark blue color, i leave it up to the boat pilot or captain to decide on going or not going on a boat trip, mainly because they can see the actual scenario there.
Level 4 and up = the green to orange color, this is automatically a no-go for boat trip. I would recommend cancellation of the boat trip.FYI.

Announcement:
Twin Lagoon now have a separate entrance fee of P100, according to my local counterparts. It used to be compensated by the entrance fee of Kayangan Lake, but now it is a stand-alone.
Addendum: In cases you visit Twin Lagoon first, you will have to pay P100 for entrance fee. Then if you should decide the visit Kayangan Lake next, you will only have to pay P100. However, in cases you visit Kayangan Lake first, you will have to pay P200. Then if you visit Twin Lagoon next, you are not required to pay there anymore.
All Tour Cost and Package Cost with Twin Lagoon itinerary will be affected.
For your information and guidance.

This is my first attempt to make a Package Tour, meaning lodging + tours. This is really a complete hassle free arrangement. All you have to do is be at Coron.
Even way back then I was eager to help my Joiners, at no cost, to get their lodging. But when things go wrong, like flight delays or last-minute cancellation, I am the one put on blame. This time I will be collecting deposits. I think that is the main difference.
And my first Package Tour is with Princess Of Coron.

My site uses a new WordPress Theme: Digg 3 Column by WP Designer
At the same, I put up new pages like the following:
* First-Timer’s Guide on Coron Travel and Tour
* An online Do-It-Yourself Tour Planner
* Fun Tour for Walk-ins at Coron
Then at the left and right sidebars, you would now see the Joiner Names and the Group Trips sorted according to Joining Group, Exclusive Group, and Inquiries.
